‘Border-Fence Logic’ Sets Dangerous Precedents

Common sense dictates that any effort to secure the 1,950-mile U.S.-Mexican border should involve construction of a fence that spans the entire length of that border. Unfortunately, common sense is a rare commodity in Washington, D.C., as evidenced by the fact that current legislative proposals address barely 870 miles of border. Makes me wonder what would happen if we applied BORDER-FENCE LOGIC to other areas of our society.
